Veiled Politics

Veiled politics:
On 28 January I happened to meet Ms. Samiya Raheel Qazi, no introduction is required as her surname is enough to clear her belonging to her father Qazi Hussain Ahmad. She was invited on some other topic I guess “Pakistani politics and Women” but as I got the time of introduction I only asked “Ma’am why you emphasize now to be called a member of Jamait-e-Islami (JI) rather than of Mutahida Majlis-e-Amal(MMA) (the collision of religious political parties)”? The reply was the usual spicily intriguing against the other Mullahs and clearing one’s own collar that is veiled with a white HIJAB. It is not for her but what she said as they all do just talking and talking and talking and that too in the name of Islam, so what have we been listening and practicing since the time our consciousness developed? What I got to know was that Islam highlights simplicity, sensitivity to humanity and sure avoidance of tempting worldly leisure, but not w3ith the idea of being a hermit or Darvesh but practicing all these while crossing the silky string made bridge of this life. Ok now what “ails me?” is the Blackberry in her hands and the jumbo car with tainted windows in which she reached our place, this shows that politics is being opted for leisure as all other politicians have done belonging to different backgrounds whether the land lords or as I put in the small gods of God’s land or the middle classiyay hungry one’s, but why all this being veiled in the cover of religion of Islam. Now I want to know that the veil is to cover the apparent beauty or the inner evil? But no one can answer me with the realization of truth that Islamic concept of veil is not only to cover and hide the appearances and truths but it is an attempt to purify the conduct of a Muslim women rather than a simple effort to cover her body from opposite gender’s gaze. But here in our Land of THE PURE the veil is being used as the refuge for the ostriches that are not only hiding their reality from the world but also trying to be ignorant of it themselves. Politics in Pakistan is like this veiled for all the Rashiz, the Zaniz, the Qatilz,the sinners, the liars, the evils, the intriguers, the conspirers, the rapists, the blackmailers, the ones who very well can manipulate the essence of veil of Islam for the purpose to cover their sins. But I, like all the Muslims, am sure that there is the One with whom you have no pardah even if so hard you try by being drunk with wine or pride.
